The term Kibbutz is a widely known term in modern times. it was founded by early Zionists to express the idea of cooperative community whose community members are self reliants. However, tracing the idea leads to the belief that Bratslav Jews knew it and early Zionist borrowed the idea later.

The present study transcends the present boundaries to assume that there is a relation between the Kibbutz notion and the Jews of Khaibar, who knew the Qamus Fortress. This name can be linguistically traced back to the Arabic root Qamasa and its derived forms and connotations. The research endeavored to compare these Arabic forms with their Hebrew counterpart forms.
